Free NovaStar RCFGX File Downloads by Display Type

Download NovaStar receiving-card configuration packages for LED video wall panels. Choose from 49 free ZIP packages containing RCFGX files, grouped by indoor, outdoor, fixed and rental display type. The library covers pixel pitches from P0.9375 to P16. Extract the ZIP, match the individual configuration to your hardware, and open it in NovaLCT.

Published by EagerLED. Updated . Download checks confirm archive availability and the presence of RCFGX files; they do not certify compatibility with your screen.

Before you load a file: Back up a working receiving card. Match the module dimensions and resolution, cabinet layout, scan mode, driver IC, receiving-card model, HUB board and firmware. Pixel pitch alone is not enough.

49 RCFGX ZIP packages by display category
Display category ZIP packages Listed pixel pitch range
Outdoor fixed 14 P2.5–P16
Indoor fixed 20 P0.9375–P10
Outdoor rental 4 P2.604–P4.81
Indoor rental 5 P1.953–P4.81
General rental 6 P2.604–P6.25

Each link downloads a ZIP archive that may contain several hardware-specific profiles. Review the filenames and confirm the exact file with your supplier before sending parameters. For missing specifications, use our LED screen specifications or ask EagerLED to identify your configuration.

Indoor Rental LED Screen: 5 ZIP Downloads

P6.52 note: The previous ZIP contains .RCG files named for P6.25 and no .rcfg/.rcfgx files. It is excluded from the NovaStar download count. Request the factory profile for your exact hardware.

What Are NovaStar RCFG and RCFGX Files?

An RCFGX file stores the receiving-card parameters used to drive LED modules in a cabinet or panel. These include the pixel layout and relevant scan, driver and display-performance settings. NovaLCT can load supported .rcfg and .rcfgx files; it is the configuration application, while the file contains a hardware-specific profile.

Configuration files and ZIP packages serve different purposes
Format Purpose Next action
.rcfgx / .rcfg NovaStar receiving-card parameters Load a supported, matching profile in NovaLCT
.scr Screen connection and cabinet mapping in supported NovaLCT workflows Use the Screen Connection area
.zip An archive containing configuration files Extract it before selecting the required profile

These downloads are not NovaLCT installers, firmware updates or universal repair presets. Installing a newer application or renaming a file does not establish hardware compatibility. Our NovaStar software download page provides the separate software resources.

How to Open and Load an RCFGX File in NovaLCT

Use a Windows computer and a NovaLCT version supported by your NovaStar controller and receiving cards. The steps below describe a synchronous-control workflow; multimedia players use a different login process, and menu labels vary by version.

  1. Extract and identify the file. Open the ZIP archive and locate the .rcfgx or .rcfg profile matching your hardware. A package may contain more than one profile.
  2. Connect and confirm communication. Connect the computer to the controller using its supported USB or network connection and confirm that the receiving cards are detected.
  3. Log in and back up. Use authorized credentials for the appropriate control mode. Read and save a working card’s parameters before changing them.
  4. Open receiving-card configuration. Enter Screen Configuration, choose the communication port and Configure Screen, then open the Receiving Card tab.
  5. Load the matching profile. Use Load from File or Load from PC, depending on your NovaLCT version. Check the loaded parameters against the module and cabinet specifications.
  6. Send and inspect. Send the configuration to the intended receiving card or test cabinet first. Check image dimensions, row order, color and brightness before extending it to matching cabinets.
  7. Save after verification. Once the display is correct, save the configuration to hardware and keep a local backup.

Sending and saving are different. Sending applies parameters for inspection; saving retains the verified setup in hardware. Do not save a profile that produces an incorrect image.

Back Up a Working Receiving Card Before Changing Files

If a matching cabinet works correctly, read its parameters in NovaLCT and save a local receiving-card configuration file. Keep the screen-connection file separately where applicable. Menu labels can appear as Read from Receiving Card, Read from Receiver Card or Read from HW depending on the version and configuration area.

Name the backup so you can identify it later, for example P3.91-outdoor-rental-500x500-card-model-2026-10-10.rcfgx. This is a naming example, not a downloadable profile. Confirm that the backup came from the matching cabinet before restoring it.

If the Configuration Does Not Work

  • NovaLCT cannot find the file: Extract the ZIP first and confirm the supported extension. Do not rename .RCG files to .rcfgx.
  • Black screen, scrambled rows or incorrect colors: Stop applying the new file, restore the matching backup and recheck module layout, scan mode, driver IC and receiving-card compatibility.
  • Cabinets light but appear in the wrong order: Check Screen Connection and data flow as well as receiving-card parameters.
  • The image is correct until power-off: Check that the verified parameters were saved to hardware.

For help, send EagerLED your screen model and configuration details: indoor or outdoor use, pixel pitch, cabinet and module dimensions, module pixel resolution, receiving-card model, HUB board, driver IC, firmware version and clear label photos. Include the filename and a photo of the symptom.

RCFG and RCFGX File FAQ

Where can I download an RCFGX file for an LED video wall panel?

Use the category and pixel-pitch links above. This page lists 49 free ZIP packages containing RCFGX files. After extraction, select the individual file that matches your module, cabinet and receiving-card hardware; a matching pixel pitch alone does not confirm compatibility.

How do I open an RCFGX file?

Open NovaLCT, enter Screen Configuration, select the Receiving Card tab and use Load from File or Load from PC, depending on your version. Extract ZIP downloads first. Review the settings before sending them to the receiving card.

What is the difference between RCFG and RCFGX?

Both .rcfg and .rcfgx are NovaStar receiving-card configuration formats. Use the format supported by your NovaLCT version and receiving card. The 49 verified packages on this page contain .rcfgx files. Renaming an extension does not convert a file or make it compatible.

Can I use one file for every P3.91 or 500 × 500 mm cabinet?

No. Pixel pitch and enclosure size do not define the complete module layout, scan mode, driver IC, wiring or receiving-card configuration. Compare the factory specifications and the individual profile before loading it.

Is an RCFGX file the same as a screen connection file?

No. An RCFGX file configures receiving-card parameters. A screen connection file, such as .scr in supported NovaLCT workflows, describes how cabinets are connected and mapped. Check both areas when cabinets light correctly but the image appears in the wrong order.

Why did my settings disappear after restarting the screen?

Check whether you only sent the parameters or also saved the verified configuration to hardware. Sending and saving are separate operations in the documented NovaLCT workflow. Reapply the matching backup, inspect the display and save only after it is correct.

Why is the P6.52 download unavailable?

The archive previously labeled P6.52 contains .RCG files named for P6.25 and no .rcfg or .rcfgx files. It has been excluded from this NovaStar library. Ask EagerLED for the exact factory file for your P6.52 screen.

What password should I use to load a configuration?

Use the authorized NovaLCT or device login credentials supplied by your screen integrator. A downloaded configuration file does not establish your administrator password. Contact the supplier if you do not have authorized access.

Library verification: On October 10, 2026, the download URLs and ZIP file lists were checked. All 49 packages listed here were reachable and contained at least one .rcfgx file. The P6.52-labeled .RCG-only archive was excluded. These checks establish file availability and format, not that a profile has been tested on your display.
